Bangkok Snake Farm

Bangkok, Thailand

Five dollars gets you all the venomous snakes you could ask for!

Part of the Queen Saovabha Memorial Institute (QSMI) in Bangkok, the Institute studies snake venom as well as rabies. Founded in 1912, the research that this Institute carries out important research on vaccines.

And it’s got a snake museum! All sorts of great live exhibits including the King Cobra, really worth seeking out this place for a visit. Your travels to Bangkok are not complete without a visit to one of the deadliest displays of serpents I have ever seen.

This is a great example of how a small, focused topic can make an excellent museum experience.
