I am not a travel blogger in a conventional sense; I am an architect, first and foremost. But as an architect, I travel and observe a little differently than most, especially regarding the built environment.
Many of these posts will be architectural, photo journaling, interesting travel aspects, or anything that makes a good story, even if the story is a string of photos of an intriguing masonry wall about to tumble to the ground.
This weblog is a travel blog in a loose sense, but you won’t typically find things like hotel reviews or restaurant reviews all too often. When I do – they will usually be glowing because I don’t want to waste time discussing mediocre places or negative reviews. These are exceptional experiences only.
I do approach conventional reviewing through discussions of brewing and distilling. I have gone out of my way worldwide to investigate the local variations and unique versions.
I have the good fortune to have a base in the Hudson Valley – my retreat from the world. So, while the issues here range far and wide, my current focus is this extraordinary historic area’s incredible bounty and interest.
